Couple of parcels arrived over the past few days so I’ll be doing them all in one post. Stuff from kawaiishopjapan arrived 2 days ago, lettersets.com arrived yesterday and artbox arrived today.

Here’s the parcel. It came very nicely packaged. ^_^ I love opening parcels/packages because I like plastic wrap. o_o Yah, I’m weird. I don’t really like bubble wrap.. which most people enjoy popping. I don’t. I just chuck it into the bin when I’ve rescued the goodies.

This is the liwaken mini memopad. I thought that he’s a fox. Turns out he’s a really ugly shiba-inu. >< I mean he’s cute~ But shiba inu’s tend to be cuter than that. LOOl sorry. I like san-x’s homekoro pom more. But I haven’t been able to find a shop that sells that character. :3

The point of this order. The fairytale sticker sacks. ^-^ I was going to get 2 Alice sticker sacks. But what was the point? I wouldn’t open either. Hahaha~ I also got my first san-x sticker sack!! Cost $3.00 +, in comparison with the Q-lia/Kamio/Mindwave/etc sticker sacks which cost $1.50 +. But oh well~ Collection purposes ^-^ And it’s soooo adorable~ Teehee.

I love kawaiishopjapan.com for the rarer sticker sacks that you don’t find in other stores, since they purchase from Japan herself. They ship from Japan too so it’s cheaper and faster shipping to me (^-^)v. My shopping cart doesn’t work on their site for some reason so I contacted Miki about it and settled on e-mailing in my order. They always reply within 24 hours. Very enjoyable shopping experience. =^.^=

Really small order from lettersets.com. 4 items in total, 2 of the same lamb (hehe) letter set and 2 stickerworld sticker sheets. It cost a total of US$20.98, inclusive of US$5.00 for shipping. This is my second time ordering from lettersets.com. The last time was in November 2008.

I don’t know why I took 2 photos of this.. Oh, because I didn’t take any individual shots. >< Oops~ Well, as you can see I bought 2 lamb letter sets. I paid about $5 for each and I was a little disappointed when I saw they were made by Daiso Japan. (they state that it is D-Japan made on the website, but I didn’t know what D-Japan was). Well anyway, Daiso is generally speaking, a 100 Yen store. And that’s about 1 USD. So I have this really ominous feeling that I paid 5-fold the amount that it ought to have been. But I don’t know for sure. (I recently checked out the Daiso store, and I found all the lettersets lettersets.com is selling there. So please DO NOT BUY FROM LETTERSETS.COM) Oh well, the lettersets set is cute.

The sticker sheets are about USD$1.20 each and they are big. :) Lovely~

Lettersets.com has very different kind of merchandise from other stores as they also stock korean sets but it is quite expensive since it is from Europe and err, Euros are a stronger currency. They have another website thecuteststickers.com that I also want to purchase from; but I really don’t need any more stickers. >< Although I do want!! Lol. That site offers free shipping for purchase of 12 sticker sheets and above. :) Even with the purchase of less than 12 sheets, shipping for me is only a flat rate of US$3 which is really low. :) I don’t recommend the purchase of lettersets because they are extravagantly priced but the stickers are o-k priced.

ARTBOX.CO.UK

There’s an artbox franchise in my country but the website had a much wider variety of goods. The retail store prices are generally quite expensive so there wasn’t much difference from the online store. Now that I’m looking at my invoice, I realise that I paid 8 pounds for shipping. o_O They said that it was 7.50 pounds flat rate international shipping! o_O MEH. No use crying over spent money. The shipping cost includes the cost for signed delivery, and of course, tracking number. Mmm. I didn’t buy much stuff, or I bought really cheap items but the total came up to 21.52 pounds. Yup, artbox stuff is really way overpriced. But what can a kawaii lover do? :(

I’m not sure about the whole kitschy term but I think you can classify artbox designs under it? Or at least, I would. Hee. To clear things up, I do like kitsch.

I only got my parcel this morning while I was still in bed so I opened it up lying down. Lol.

Miffy pin badge. Got that for a friend because I don’t see Miffy items any where else, so I figured I’d better snap it up because I probably won’t see any more Miffy merch after this. Hello kitty sheep head keycap. :) Finally I got a keycap after coveting for so long! You can get these keycaps at sanrio.com too but I’ve a problem with sanrio.com but I’ll rant about that in a later post. :) And 2 mini tin cases for knick-knacks. TIME TO BUY KNICK-KNACKS TO FILL MY CUTE CASES! :DD

Pencil box and plastic cup. New back to school pencil box me thinks. :) I love it. It’s roomy and quite sturdy, even thought it’s made out of hard paper/cardboard. The cup was only 85 shillings. :) Yey~ Time to drink Polka lemon tea (my guilty pleasure) from my new cup. Hehe.

I reckon that my experience with artbox.co.uk would be a lot better if I lived in the UK and didn’t have to pay exorbidant shipping fees and undergo extreme currency conversion rates. I love artbox designs and I always enter their boutique in shopping malls, even if I don’t end up getting any thing from it because it’s too expensive. They are a real brand and have their own design so that’s a real plus. And, it’s a korean brand, as compared to kawaii japan brands. :) I don’t think I’ll be buying anything from their online store in the near future, but I might get some stuff from their retail stores here if I see anything that I fancy. Hehe.
