I haven’t even blogged about what/when/where/who/why/how I bought my pink nds lite but here I am, posting about skinning it! hahaha~

I bought the skin for S$8 from a Korean stationery company that I will not be naming because really, I love their designs so much I’ll give them all the business they need to stay afloat. :> *selfish* But you might figure it out if you’re really clever :D They also make other adorable random things like camera straps & little pouches like those from artbox that sell for something like 50$ for the tiniest one madness, I telllll youuuu.

Here’s my plain ol’ unskinned pink nds lite that every girl seems to have. Oh yeah, let me just rant a bit on people (particularly girls) who seem to have a vendetta against the color pink. Yeah, that’s right. The color. What did the color ever do to you that you must cringe every moment that you see it? It’s not even an ugly color like, shit green (not really, what else do you call that mix of brown & green color?), it’s just pink. Let’s not talk about the extremes of pink, just pink itself. I understand if it’s not your favourite color (it’s not my favourite color), but I still think it’s a nice color; one that you can’t hate.

These girls, in an effort to differentiate themselves from the rest of the gender population, uphold the stance of hating this color, which is what you might traditionally call, a girly color. -.- Omg! Pretentious much!? You don’t even hate the color because you think it’s ugly, you just do it so that you don’t seem like a conformist, well guess what? You’re just a coward who’s too afraid to stand up for your own beliefs. You’re more of a conformist than those who follow the crowd, because you’re so afraid of being judged that you’ll go to such extents to make yourself more unique (not very much anymore, since every other person seems to following the same “non-conformist” route).

End of my little rant (for now) because I don’t feel like being anything less than happy today.

Well anyway, here’s a photo of the nds lite with the skin on!

Front. If you notice, on the left side of the skin, it’s actually cut a little wonkily. Like really, it seems that the person who did the cutting with, I assume ,a machine that would have no problems cutting in a straight line had been drunk & made the blade swing around for a bit before going back on course. *shrugs*

The skin came with 4 pieces, 1 for the front, 1 for the back, and 2 for the inside. I didn’t paste the stuff on the inside because well, it doesn’t completely cover the entirety of the bottom like other skins, but only the sides like this:

Look at how it uhh, diverges around the buttons =\ It’s still pretty, but it’ll take me a bit of coaxing before I stick it on. Hahaha. I’m still enjoying my new nds lite anyway, let me stare at it’s beautiful flawless interior first.

I wouldn’t usually paste stickers on something so new & expensive but the skin really is very removable & will not damage/dirty the ds lite in any way or form. And, yeah, it’s a way of customising your own ds so that no one else has the exact same one as you do. *whistles* (ok I lied, I can’t whistle)

Review on skin from unknown place (unknown to you because I’m not telling~~~)

Pros: Very easy to apply. Completely effortless to remove & reapply/realign. Does not leave any sticky residue.

Cons: A little small (does not completely cover the ds lite as I would have liked it to). Messy cutting on the front piece (as aforementioned).

Bottomline: Affordable pricing (for only this item, not the rest of this crazy Korean company’s items T_T), S$8 is pretty standard for nds lite skins. Very beautiful designs. Ok shipping (took 10 days to reach me). Free registered shipping included in price.
