1. SHINee

I’ve followed them since they were this:

all the way to this:

& I’ll never stop loving them bling bling shiny boys :))

They can dance, they can sing, they can look cute, they can look hot, what can they not do?

SHINee surpasses the other idol groups that I like by a ton. SHINee is what really got me into kpop. They are the only idol group that I actually follow extensively, trying to get to know every thing about them & what they are doing at that precise moment in time.

I try to watch every single performance of theirs & all their variety/hosting shows. I have all their albums (illegally ahem) but I got Lucifer package A & B legitimately. :)) Mint condition. I love all of them & all their songs.

I’m putting 2 groups at #2 because I can’t decide which I like more.

2. Super Junior

It gets a lot easier to like them once you memorise all their names. lmao. I have to admit though, I didn’t like them from the beginning. I was like, 13 members? whattttt. But to be frank, it’s not their songs that I fancy them for. Because let’s face it, they aren’t extraordinarily the best dancers + singers (I mean 1 person with both skills), some specialise in dance, some specialise in singing, and some just do their own thing & get sidelined. It’s definitely their whole package as a 13 member group (YES 13! Or 15 if you wanna get down to the semantics) as well as their variety skills that attracts ELFs.

I think this is a really old picture. I couldn’t recognise Siwon & Sungmin (that is Sungmin right.. the one that looks & dresses like a girl & is being hit on by Eunhyuk) at first.

I bought the BONAMANA smartphone application. I hope they acknowledge my fangirling efforts in that way!

2. FT Island

I got to know FT Island through Flower Boys Generation (one of SHINee’s variety/hosting shows) & thank God for it. :)

They make realllly good music & I still stick by my school of thought that Hongki is the best vocalist in the world. I’ve got all their albums. :)

I’ve watched all their variety/hosting shows like Idol Army & Hangul Island. They are so adorable & simply play/fool around the best. Tee hee.

3. BEAST

I only started following BEAST sometime before their SOOM comeback. I don’t know what possessed me to click on their videos & watch them but wow was I impressed. I have to say, they can really dance. Their vocals are really awesome too.

I got to know BEAST after U-KISS & MBLAQ, yet BEAST has climbed their way all the way to #3. I haven’t even watched any BEAST variety, but I can safely say that I won’t be changing my mind.

4. U-KISS

Dongho introduced me to U-KISS. Yeah when we waz hanging out after school and he waz liek, “noona, check out my band!”, and i waz liek, “yeah sure.” Hahaha. Alright, the truth is I watched Maknae Rebellion because of Seunghyun from FT Island & that is where I got to know Dongho & subsequently U-KISS. :)

I was waiting for U-KISS’ Shut Up Break Time comeback before making this decision, but unfortunately for U-KISS, their comeback really didn’t pique my interest. I kind of hated their Shut up MV but I’ve gotten to like it more each time I watched them perform live. The purple suits just turn me off. & they tried to show off too many abs. But in their defence, the “시끄럿!!” part of the dance is really clean & powerful.

One thing that always irritated me was how Kevin & Soohyun sang everything. But I’m glad that Kibum, Dongho, Kiseop get to sing more than 1 syllable in this promotional song.

I enjoy watching U-KISS variety, they are an adorable bunch of boys. :)

I prefered them during bingeul bingeul times. (& even better, Mworago!) Why is Dongho’s hair not snow blonde here though? :(

5. MBLAQ

I thought I liked them, but it turns out I just liked Mir. I kind of hate Lee Joon. His aegyo makes me nauseous. & I sometimes find Cheondoong ugly. & their variety is quite forced. If I hate one (or more o_o) of the members, I can’t see how it can be considered that I’m a fan of the group. Maybe I’ll just scrap them from the list.

MBLAQ got completely avalanched by BEAST’s singing & dancing. But here’s a picture of them for old times’ sake.

And another that I just stumbled across & Mir just looks gorgeous in.

Actually looking at their pictures makes me want to get back in love with MBLAQ. I miss Mir. :PP
