Here’s a prviate message I wrote to a GM on infinite aion.

Regarding the report made against me for racism. permalink here: http://infiniteaion.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=21798. I quote from Columbia University Press.

“The term [b]Third World[/b] was originally intended to distinguish the nonaligned nations that gained independence from colonial rule beginning after World War II from the Western nations and from those that formed the former Eastern bloc, and sometimes more specifically from the United States and from the former Soviet Union (the first and second worlds, respectively).”

It is under no circumstance my business if certain illiterates deliberately choose to undermine it’s original meaning, and instead refer to it in the derogatory sense, which was not my intention. My intentions can obviously not be determined by others, but only by myself, and hence I am making my intentions clear in this case. I should not be blamed for using it in it’s original, albeit archaic definition.

I would also like to point out that you might argue in the context of which I have used the term. But similarly, I could also say, “go back to your silver plates and cutlery”, to which that would refer to “mind your own business, you snobby rich kid”, and in no area do I find any racism in that comment.

Regarding the phrase I used, “lousy 3rd world country”. Attacking a country certainly does not constitute racism. Have you heard of cosmopolitan societies? If I attacked say, Singapore, and said “Lousy Singapore!”. Would I then be racist against Chinese, Malays & Indians, simultaneously? I certainly would not.

Such narrow-minded allegations would just be thrown out of court.

And before I forget. I was also reported by “bad words”, which I assume to be explitives and vulgarities spewed. The bad words are clearly “—–”. Who’s to say that I did not intentionally use blanks, for my conversational partner to fill in? Why must you jump the gun and assume that those constitute vulgarities? In order of the screenshot, perhaps I meant, “go help your women and get them pregnant” (because low birth rates are quite a problem for DCs), “NO DARLING BRAINS” (because I could be random like that), “jump off” (because that’s how you glide in-game, should I be punished for teaching a newbie the ropes?) and “go live off your dole” (dole actually already shows that the country is pretty well to-do, contradicting racist allegations of my plastering a 3rd world country status). It is under no fault of mine that dirty minded people immediately arrive to the conclusion that I had used explitives.

I just wanted to state this because it’s absolutely brilliant fun for me. :) Thank you.
