SHINee Lucifer controversy (Illuminati or not?)

Hi,

I just saw this week the Shinee Mv.
And i think that clearly the persons who write the song and imagine the MV work for illuminati. I don’t think the band shinee itself is aware of what they are doing, i think they just do what they are told to do. They are not that free to choose song or to remove some they don’t like as you can know many members in KPOP entertainment are working under complicated contract, they are just puppet (see how DBSK members are treated..)

In fact it’s clear for me for many reasons, one of these is we all know that when they sing live, people use to scream and sing with them refrains.
And it will go with the music “Lucifer! Lucifer!”
What do u think they are calling? Of course to believe that this kind of calling produce some effect and it’s dangerous you must be jew, christian, muslim, or … illuminati.
As i’m believer, i know that this kind of thing will produce for sure effects on people who assist in the audience and scream, we will have many possession case in the future by this way and i think we already have cause of this kind of song produced in US.

If you read about illuminati you know that they are waiting for a battle between God and Lucifer and they believe that they have to bring a maximum of adepts to Lucifer that their promise to Lucifer, to obtain eternal life.

Also i just noticed today that their last mv ring ring dong also contain many illuminatis symbolism, so the Lucifer mv and song is just a continuation of that. In ring ring dong, they are wearing black to begin and they say “I’ve fallen, so why treat me like this?” fallen just as Lucifer fall and after it says “Don’t run away in fear” just as people run from the devil, so the devil reassure you and say “but why not try trusting me” and just after “Ring Ding Dong Ring Ding Dong” like “come on it’s the time now to believe in me” and it continues with
“Look, I may not be cool
nice, or anything like that
but I’m a pretty decent bad boy”

Just as Lucifer, in the mv you see them wear black, then you see them periodically in white, jong hyun lit a fire with his hand only.
One of the interesting part is :

In the end you see them finished with angel’s wing, so in this mv they were representing Lucifer in fact which is ringing a bell and waiting for people to come to him, he makes promise and say “Please don’t respond with a ‘no’”.

To finish, i know and i’m pretty sure of it again that the band doesn’t understand the meaning but it’s for me pretty obvious that there’s a meaning, and that those song produce effects on people.
That’s my point of view, just be carefull.

It’s not only a question of colours, if you watch closely the mv, you see many things related to what i say, the mv represent a story and the story is i think close to what i’ve told. And if you really read the songs it’s more then details that you have, the song is clear…

Anyway i just, as a believer, wanted to inform about it. Because i was really atonished, i thought only US Music was contamined, i was naive.

PS: You have the same kind of thing with the “amoled” cf of son dambi with the eye to begin and the eye to finish (illuminati’s symbol). black in the begining, white in the end in the sky, and she wears also feather at a moment, she’s like opening a door with her hand, and shinee is just like opening something too when they do rocka rocka part. she’s also drawing the eye when she says amoled refrain.
You have those kind of things in many KPOP mv now..

I’m a fan of Shinee too and I do also think of their new ‘Lucifer’ song and MV. It’s good to know there are fans who still stand on their two feet and not just loving everything the idols are doing. But in Shinee’s case, I prefer to think that they are doing what they think is good for the group and of course being a little bit mysterious and controversial is one of the way. Regardless of what the man behind the song is propagating of whom and what, the song and the MV is escalating Shinee’s stardom for good.
And though maybe not all but, some of the members are pretty faithful with their religion. So i really dont think they are meant to call for the demon or devil and such.

KPOP music industry is a really competitive one and to survive, a really outstanding masterpiece is a big must. Religious and demon symbols help into that and it is not new in the scene. It’s just a matter of how the interpretation (or exploitation?) is done

Nevertheless, i really hope they are not one of the freak and weird religious cult members. Juz my few cents though, no offense..

Unlike you, I actually have a proper grasp of the English language and I understand how to analyse what people say. I take comments as a whole, not just pick up the little words that I do comprehend, and make a big fuss about it.

I love conspiracy theories, but I also know that sometimes people are just really bored and will make up anything to keep you talking about it, even if you’re trying to debunk it. I like that you can make a valid argument. :)

Some people just take this “Illuminati” BS a little too far.. picking out every single small detail and writing a whole life story on it and why they believe it is in some way related to the devil or Illuminati.

However, it is indeed quite interesting reading about conspiracies and “theories” that other people have to share. Although most of it is complete junk, I guess everyone has a right to share what they want to say.

im also a big fan of shinee and a devout christian. I was so disappointed when i saw their title vid, but then i realzied that it wasn’t so bad. Lucifer, after all, means the angel of light and i see nothing wrong with it. THey’re just trying to find a more mature concept for the boys. Besides, wasn’t this what SM wants?? More controversy to the video means it will be more popular, thus giving Shinee instant stardom. The signs in the video could not be passed of as coincidences anyway. So, I think it was deliberately planned by SM to make this one much bigger and more famous than the others.

i found your information very useful. i wasn’t so aware of the controversy until my sister showed a video about lady gaga’s satanic symbols in her logo and videos. and it immediately remind me of shinee’s lucifer. i agreed with poli to just be careful.

It’s really sad to see a lot of kpop artists slowly showing more signs that they are under the control of illuminati. But whether the artists themselves deliberately and willingly complied with their agencies for the fame and power, i’m not sure. You can clearly see a classic illuminati symbolism at the end of the video, SHINee showing the baphomet symbol! Wow, it was not just a random name stated out of the blue. It was referencing a King that declared his laws supreme, that he was the highest being both on the earth, and above….And there’s no such thing as Christianology, it’s called christianity, people need to do more research before they talk about things that they have no idea about and end up sounding stupid…

I don’t think the SHINee boys knows what they are doing but they are promoting their stuffs…the backgrounds of when they perform…the movesments the do and the things they wear are illuminati signs..I love them but I kept seeing them wearing or is around this kinda things..and I wonder if they knew it or not. There is way too much of an overreaction in this. The song is simply about an angel or something like that. I don’t get why people make it such a big deal. Very interesting views presented here! I am religious, but if you’re going to criticise the song based on only the name, you’ll realise that this person I’ve quoted is very right. IF the name had been different, everybody including myself would have watched the vid and listened to the song normally with no complaints!

The reason I decided NOT to watch the MV or listen to the song is, I do NOT want a song with Lucifer’s name stuck in my head. Pushing all other reasons aside, that is the main reason. I cannot bear to have a song with that word stuck in my head and then I would end up singing it too.

People who think that they can escape the illuminati by watching out for every Baphomet sign and every stupid pentagon are fooling themselves. The illuminati is EVERYWHERE. Not just your music. Man people who manufacture your toothpaste, your food, your cars, clothes, EVERYTHING, are also illuminati. They direct the TV shows you watch and control the news you believe. Since some of us are so paranoid about “the illuminati taking over” ok, are you prepared to go live in a cave away from civilization? That’s really the only way. Oh and one more thing. Although I can’t say whether or not Yoo YoungJin intended for it to be illuminati related, I have to say that the song lyrics speak about a reality in this world. There are a lot of people who think they are “desperately in love” with someone. When in fact they are addicted to a bad person and they’re trapped in a sick relationship where there is no love. Just because the person you love seems to be nice the rest of the time doesn’t make up for the fact that they ARE BAD and YOU SHOULD LEAVE. That is the essence of this song. 2PM’s “Again and Again” deals with the same issue. Unfortunately a lot of people will hear Lucifer and still continue in such relationships. People are looking for entertainment but will not learn the lessons that song lyrics can teach them. Few people care to analyse the lyrics they are listening to and they just enjoy the beat and melody.

I would just like to point out that the illuminati Were not repressed radicals in the same connotation as we see repressed radicals today. If you want an example of the illuminati, go to your nearest university science department, that is the closest you will get to a real illuminati.

Wow! This whole iluminati BS has gone too far. So what if they have pyramids or black and white patterns on their sets? Is there tangible or factual evidence that hanging those things around make you evil? Does this mean that anytime there’s a pyramid or black/white patterned whatever nearby I should go like “Run! Run! There’s a pyramid! You’ll turn evil if you look at it!” or if there is a dog, cat or any animal with black and white markings “Let’s kill that dog. It’s evil!” Seriously!

As far I’m concerned, a pyramid is just a pyramid and black/white/red/blue are just colors. Nothing special. And it’s not like the boys sing about world domination or anything. They mostly sing about cheesy and fun stuff. Nothing remotely evil. I’ve been listening to their songs and watching their performances for a while now and I can say that they haven’t convinced me to do anything evil.

I am a new SHINee fan, I just started listening to their music and I really liked it! I really like these guys but then I saw the Lucifer song and I looked up the lyrics and I read them and it does seem to me to be suggestion something….

I didn’t watch the music video so I won’t come here and say anything about ‘signs’ in it, but when it comes to those things like pyramids and stuff, it’s not that every pyramid is evil first of all….the people who were all doing the evil stuff decided to use that as their symbol, so when you see a pyramid like it, you think about what it represents. If I were making an MV I would not go pyramids all over it because i know that it represents some kinda evil thing.

You may see colours as just colours, but again, some colours are known to represent certain things, whether it’s good or evil.

I’m a Christian….yes Lucifer does mean Angel of Light, but it is also connected to satan for a reason….Lucifer was up in Heaven with all the other Angels, decided he wanted to be God, tried to overpower God but of course he couldnt, so God sent him to hell (that would be his fall from Heaven, it’s like he fell from Heaven to hell) after that, he became known as satan.

What I’m doing, I’m not listening to this song, not watching the MV, just as a pre-caution. But it really upsets me that somehting like this happened because i was trying to get away from it by listening to kpop but it’s eveywhere. We just have to be careful

I am also a new SHINee fan, through Vigilant Citizen no less. I must say that although I find his conspiracy theories ridiculous (as in laughable, from the Latin ridiculare), it’s a good place to find some great music.

The problem with Biblical literalists is that they take everything literally, including the title of this song. It’s not about Lucifer, for crying out loud! It’s about being trapped in a toxic relationship. Lucifer is a metaphor for codependency and allowing oneself to be chained in lust to a person who will bring you misery. Looking at the devil card in the tarot, you can see why Lucifer might be a good analogy for this type of relationship.

Regarding the hands at the end of the video: Of course they did that as a symbol of Lucifer/Baphomet (or maybe an actual reference to the tarot card); it’s a clever way of referencing the title of the song. It doesn’t imply in any way that they worship him. As someone above stated, the image is backwards and the fingers are wrong, so they might have been subverting it as well as referencing it.

What I hate most about Illuminati conspiracy theories is that they put every interesting, artistic, and creative thing into this big melting pot of an evil organization. The world and the occult are so much more diverse than that. They are so much more interesting than that. Baphomet is not “classic Illuminati symbolism.” Baphomet is older than that. Baphomet is classic symbolism of the Knights Templar, because they were accused of worshiping Baphomet and were persecuted for it (and so that the church could get their wealth).

It is an insult to the creativity and ingenuity of humankind to throw it all under the label “Illuminati” and accuse those individuals who would dare use a pattern or a geometrical shape or a freaking powerful image as being puppets or brainwashed. Artists use these patterns and shapes and images because they are powerful, because they invoke emotion, and because they provoke reaction. More artists are using them now and will use them in the future because people who are terrified of anything that differs from their worldview are blogging about it and bringing them publicity. Sometimes a checkerboard pattern is just a checkerboard pattern. You don’t need to live your life in fear of butterflies; they’re wonderful symbols for a lot of things. If you see a butterfly and think that the person using that symbol is associated with the Illuminati, it’s because you’ve chosen to assign that meaning to the butterfly.

By the way, inane nitpicking of perfectly innocent bands is distracting you from artists that actually practice the occult.

SHINee Lucifer is just merely a song and as what some fans said, its talking about a girl with an outer appearance of an Angel. Perhaps it meant she is a Lucifer in an outer appearance of an Angel?

I recently discovered SHINee and the first song I heard of their’s WAS Lucifer. I didn’t really care for the lyrics or the MV, mostly just for the boys themselves..lol. But anyway I was told by a friend how Ring Ding Dong and Lucifer are songs that portray the Illuminati business or whatever. This thing about Illuminati is the reason why I stopped listen to American MUSIC. You never know who’s involved in it and I as a Muslim, try to not delve into these things.
Call me gullible but I believe Poli but, I’m not sure if she mentioned this, they may be portraying this but it is very unlikely that they know about it. They do what they are told to do. They just follow what there managers tell them. It’s sad though that this is how it is but I thank you for opening my eyes. I’m a huge fan of SHINee, and I love their music, including Lucifer. I’m a Hindu, so I don’t really understand most of these references or illuminati conspiracy theories. I just enjoy their music for what it is. Music. And two of the boys are devout Christians, apparently, so I don’t think they would do it if it went against their personal beliefs, which leads me to believe that these boys have no idea what they’re doing. I think it’s really sad, because they’re just like puppets (as established in the song Lucifer) to the company.

I think this song is simply about a guy suffering under an angelic looking girl’s spell. She’s making him fall hard for her and he’ll do anything he can to make her feel the same way.
I think some people take things too far and over analyze things. Illuminati? I have to admit I don’t know much about it… as in, I have no idea! I’m too lazy to Google it haha. However, I know there are apparently satanic messages in songs/dance songs pointed out by some people. I think that’s dumb. The dance move could just be an innocent dance move.

sorry, but some comments make me so LOL.

First, the comment above that Visual Kei scene “has been taken” by Satan/Illuminati. Sorry, but I bet you’re a newcomer. Visual Kei/Japan rock scene is almost ALWAYS loves Satanic theme from the start. You can find at least one song that contained illuminati/satanic theme in EVERY band.

Second, SHINee’s title is Lucifer, it’s so in your face, so it’s just suitable if they use satanic symbols in the MV/lyric, and I bet it’s ON PURPOSE.

The problem is, SO WHAT. Those who fuss about it only the freakishly religious people. SHINee can go to the studio and singing that song you claimed as Satanic without even thinking much about it, and after that they’ll go eat ice cream or shopping with their mom (*gasp* you don’t expect they’ll go to some deserted cave to eat babies, don’t you?)

Well, Heavy Metal bands have been calling for Satan for years now and no one’s got hurt yet. I doubt SHINee are going to be the ones to finally bring on the apocalypse.
